Our 2 to 2.5 hour tour of the Shell Key Preserve is a great way to explore the mangrove islands and shallow seagrass meadows which are an integral part of our coastal ecosystem. This trip also includes a stop on the barrier island of Shell Key to stretch your legs or go for a swim. The preserve is home to osprey, nesting sea turtles, dolphins, manatees, a variety of local shorebirds, and more. Much of the area is off limits to power boats so kayaking is the perfect way to experience the inner workings of the preserve. This tour is also offered as a sunset trip when tides permit. We look forward to showing you one of our favorite local spots to paddle!
Cost is $38pp (plus tax)
We are currently offering this tour for $25pp as a thank you to all those coming to visit the area after Irma and for locals who may need a little post storm stress relief!
This tour departs from a public launch site located at 2700 Pinellas Bayway South, Tierra Verde, FL 33715 just North of Fort De Soto State Park. No experience is necessary. We provide instruction and all the gear. We use quality equipment which provides a better overall experience for our guests; sit-inside single and tandem kayaks, fiberglass paddles, Stohlquist PFD's, and dry bags. We can accommodate up to twelve people on this tour with two guides per trip. Keeping our groups small creates a more personal experience for everyone.
If you have any questions please give us a call. We would be happy to help you pick the right tour, schedule a trip, or provide information about what to expect!
