Our tour of the Shell Key Preserve is approximately 2.5 to 3 hours and a great way to explore our coastal environment. We offer this trip year-round. From the protected bays and inlets to the shallow seagrass meadows and mangrove islands, we try to highlight all of the local ecosystems which are an integral part of our coastal habitat. We plan our routes based on daily tidal and weather conditions, but will spend our time paddling through the preserve and visiting the barrier island of Shell Key. This will give you the opportunity to take a break, stretch your legs, or go for a swim while on the island. This beautiful coastal habitat is home to osprey, dolphins, nesting sea turtles, manatees, and a variety of local and migratory shorebirds. Several mangrove tunnels are also accessible throughout the area when tides permit. We look forward to showing you one of our favorite local spots to paddle.
Cost is $38pp (plus tax)
